Glynis Taylor Maruk has been in the redesign genre for over 20 years. It was not until owning a 9-bedroom historic country inn in Annapolis Royal, Nova Scotia, that she realized how balance and harmony are important. The Bread and Roses Inn, having over 8,000 square feet, had much furniture to deal with, and much interior decorating to be done. With Glynis' eye and careful attention to detail, her Bread and Roses Inn received a four start rating from Canada Select. Glynis' country inn was also featured with Fodor's Travel as one of the premier properties to lodge with. The inn was also chosen not once, but twice to host the cast and director of the British movie "My Little Eye". Some of the cast members were: Jennifer Sky, partner Alex Band of The Calling, Kris Lernche, Sean Cw Johnson, Laura Regan, Stephen O'Reilly, Nick Mennell and Director Marc Evans. Glynis was also chosen to ReDesign and decorate for the holidays the home of Terry Adams, the pitcher for the Pittsburgh Pirates.
With the sale of her inn she returned to her hometown of Mobile. Glynis is trained with and is a member of I.R.I.S. (Interior Redesign Industry Specialist), the SDP (Society of Decorating Professionals), and is an associate member of the IDS ( Interior Design Society). Glynis' most recent move has taken her to Nashville, Tennessee.
Glynis is comfortable decorating from flea market finds, or to complete interior design projects with unlimited resources.
