Every project is a unique journey melding the client’s dreams with the precepts of good design in order to achieve the ultimate in sophisticated, beautiful living spaces.  Rather than subscribe to a definitive style or philosophy, principal designer Kirsten Basso Blunck draws on her years spent abroad in the fashion and film industries, bringing a worldly perspective to her client’s personal space. 

Hip, eclectic urban lofts, traditional country homes and rustic mountain retreats have all been designed with her unique flair and keen eye for artistic detail.

Kirsten Basso Blunck studied interior design at Fairfield University in Connecticut.  She worked for several years at two successful design firms in the Greenwich, Connecticut area before she and her partner founded Habitat LLC in 2002.  In January 2007, she married and moved to Bozeman, Montana. 

She has worked on projects in Connecticut, New Jersey, Florida, Vermont, Long Island, Montana, New York City and Los Angeles.  Kirsten currently resides in Montana but divides her time between projects on the east coast and the northern Rocky Mountains.
